In India, it is common for a person to be named after their place of origin, for example, Ramananda was born in the city of Ramananda Nagar. However, this is not the case with all people. There are many people whose names are not associated with their place of birth, and in fact, there are many people whose names are not even Indian. One of these is Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, the subject of this article.
Ahilyabai Holkar is a woman who is widely considered to be the first queen of the Indian city of Varanasi. It is believed that she was born in the year 1143 in the city of Varanasi, which is in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India.
